2026 Call for Abstracts

Submit an Abstract to be Presented at Our Annual Meeting

Deadline to Submit: September 4, 2026

We invite you to submit Scientific Abstracts and educational Clinical Cases for consideration to be presented at our Annual Meeting.

To be eligible, submissions:

Must represent original work or meaningful updates to previously presented work.
Must not have been published as a full manuscript in a peer-reviewed journal before the abstract submission deadline.
May have been presented at another scientific meeting.
Must not contain copyrighted material without appropriate permission.
Are limited to 300 words (excluding title, authors, affiliations, and disclosures).
Must be submitted by the deadline—September 4, 2026.

The presenting author must attend in person to discuss their research. The presenting author should generally be the first author, although a co-author may present if necessary.

Eligible Submission Categories

Scientific Abstract:

Original research or scholarly work that advances knowledge in rheumatologic dermatology. Examples include clinical studies, translational or basic science research, epidemiologic analyses, quality improvement initiatives, educational research, and larger case series with systematic analysis.

Clinical Case / Case Series:

An educational clinical case or small case series with a clear diagnosis and meaningful teaching point relevant to rheumatologic dermatology. Appropriate submissions may highlight rare presentations, novel disease manifestations, unique diagnostic challenges, unusual treatment responses, adverse events, or other clinically impactful observations. Cases should include a clear educational message rather than an undiagnosed “mystery case.”

Presentation Formats

Possible presentation formats include oral abstracts, poster presentations, or case discussions. Each submission will be reviewed by the Scientific Review Committee to determine the most appropriate presentation format.

Regardless of presentation format, there will be opportunities during breaks to discuss your work with attendees.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Authors must disclose the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI), large language models (LLMs), or other AI-assisted technologies used in the preparation of the abstract or as part of the research being presented.

Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of all submitted content. AI tools may not be listed as authors.

If AI or machine learning was used as part of the research methodology, the technology and its role in the study should be clearly described in the Methods section.

Clinical Images: Clinical photographs or other clinical images created or materially altered using generative AI are not permitted unless the use of AI is an integral part of the research methodology and is clearly disclosed. Standard adjustments that do not alter or misrepresent the clinical findings are permitted.

Patient confidentiality must be maintained at all times. Identifiable patient information or protected health information should not be entered into publicly available AI platforms.
